Jack Grealish was substituted with a groin problem in the first half of the holders' 3-1 victory in the last 16 first leg in Denmark on Tuesday. The 28-year-old was making his first start in six games in what has been a difficult campaign for the England star.
This season has reportedly been complicated for him again. According to 'The Telegraph', the England winger will be out of action for three to four weeks, i.e. until March due to a groin injury.
The 28-year-old had a spell out with a dead leg earlier in the season and has been kept out of the side by the fine form of Jeremy Doku and Phil Foden. Another lay-off is a blow for City as they chase another treble.
His coach Pep Guardiola said on Friday at Chelsea's pre-match press conference that he has yet to "speak to the doctors" to find out the extent of his injury.
"Jack I think will not be ready. I don’t know [his condition]. I need to speak with the doctors. I only know he is not able to play tomorrow," he told reporters.
