The French national team will kick off their Nations League campaign in style, hosting Italy at the Parc des Princes on the first matchday of the Nations League.
Didier Deschamps appeared in the press room and gave his first impressions. "We have the ambition to get the best results in the next six matches. We indeed had a very young squad at the European Championship, which doesn't prevent quality, but to take steps we need to see these players in action," he told reporters.
Deschamps also spoke about Griezmann's form: "I talk to the players a lot. Antoine is without doubt the player with whom I've had the most conversations, he's had more or less happy periods. Even if he is not 100 per cent today, he will also manage playing time.
"He has always done very good things, sometimes less good things. When he has good feelings, his influence is important, it's up to him to do everything he can to get the games going," he added.
