Griezmann welcomes Julian Alvarez to Atletico Madrid

Frenchman Antoine Griezmann is awaiting the arrival at Atletico Madrid of Julian Alvarez, according to what was published on his social networks on Tuesday, in which he shows an emoji of a spider, the nickname by which the Argentinian striker from Manchester City is known.
The Atletico star accompanies the spider with a face of surprise and another with hearts, which could be interpreted as a gesture of astonishment at the quality of the signing he expects and another of pleasure.
Atletico, who have already signed French-born Spanish defender Robin Le Normand and Norwegian striker Alexander Sorloth, are now negotiating the arrivals of English midfielder Conor Gallagher and Julian Alvarez, as well as Valencia's Javi Guerra, who did not train with his team on Monday pending a final decision on his future.
'The Athletic' newspaper reported on Tuesday that an agreement has already been reached between City and Atletico Madrid for the signing of Alvarez, for a figure of around 95 million euros, including add-ons, with a base of between 75 and 80 million euros fixed.
Atletico are in Hong Kong, where they will play their third pre-season match against local side Kitchee on Wednesday, following a 1-1 draw and subsequent penalty shootout win over Numancia and a 3-1 victory over Getafe last Saturday.
In Hong Kong, Norwegian Sorloth will make his debut as a 'Colchonero' and Portuguese Joao Felix, who already played and scored a goal last Saturday in Getafe and whom Atletico is looking for a destination this August, will play again.
