With Manchester City out of contention for a chance of winning the Champions League this season, Pep Guardiola has named four teams that he believes have the strongest chance of taking home the trophy on May 31.
"There are other good teams around. It will be an interesting Champions League season. Madrid are always favourites for this trophy," the Catalan manager said after 'Los Blancos' knocked his side out of the Champions League with a 6-3 defeat across two legs in the play-off round.
Having named the 'Merengues' as the undoubted favourites, the former Barca and Bayern Munich head coach, excluded Premier League rivals Arsenal, who comfortably reached the last 16 after finishing the league phase in third place, as he named three teams on his list.
"Liverpool are having a really good season, Barcelona are amazing, Paris Saint-Germain, with my friend Luis [Enrique] in charge, are on the march.," he said. Guardiola's choice of including PSG over the Gunners could be a surprise to many after the Parisians were beaten at the Emirates, finishing off the league phase down in 15th.
