Manchester City and Sevilla FC will play each other for the last points of the Champions League group stage. Pep Guardiola, coach of the British team, spoke ahead of the match. The Catalan spoke to the media at a press conference, in which he previewed various aspects of the match.
To begin with, given the bad moment that Sevilla are going through, he wanted to make clear his respect for such an important club and even assured that he would like to have their history: "I would love to have a trophy cabinet like Sevilla's. They are a team with prestige, in Europe and in Spain.
More focused on what will happen on the pitch, Pep Guardiola again ruled out the presence of Erling Haaland: "He's feeling better, but he's still not 100 per cent and we don't want to take any risks. We hope to have him against Fulham. Julian Alvarez will therefore be the chosen one up front: "Of course he can improve, but like all of us. We are delighted with how he is settling in. He's a humble guy, with an incredible work ethic. He'll get another chance tomorrow.
Finally, the Spanish coach all but confirmed the presence of Manchester City academy players Palmer and Lewis: "Some players who don't play regularly will play. They (Palmer and Lewis) will play, but first I have to see the last training session.
