Pep Guardiola's contract as Manchester City manager expires in 2025. The Spanish coach has hinted that it could be his last contract with the Cityzens and that after fulfilling it he would close his time in Manchester.

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola still has a two-year contract with the club until 2025. The former Barcelona boss joined the club in 2016 and during his time at the Sky Blues has won 15 titles, including five Premier League titles, four EFL Cups, two Community Shields, two FA Cups, one Champions League and one European Super Cup.
The Spaniard, despite winning the treble last year, has hinted on several occasions that it could be his last contract with Manchester City and he could end his time in charge of the team. The club is not yet at maximum urgency to find a replacement as there are still two years to go.
The Etihad Stadium knows that the search for Guardiola's replacement will be far from easy and there have already been rumours about several possible coaches who could replace the Catalan coach. According to The Athletic, the list includes Tottenham Hotspur coach Ange Postecoglou and Girona coach Michel.
Postecoglou is someone the City Football Group liked even before he moved to Celtic. The Australian has turned Tottenham's fortunes around and has won five and drawn two of Spurs' seven games this season. Michel, meanwhile, has had a spectacular start to the season at Girona, having taken 19 points from a possible 24 and been top of La Liga for one matchday.
Mikel Arteta is another candidate who has also been on City's shortlist for some time, but his emergence at Arsenal and their title challenge until the end of the season last year has led the Gunners to make a strong bid for the Spanish coach. Roberto De Zerbi could be another contender after the fabulous job he is doing with Brighton, he has close ties with Guardiola and the City manager is a huge fan of the Italian.
"There is no team playing the way they play - unique. I had the feeling he would have an impact and it would be great – but I didn't expect them to do it in this short space of time. They deserve the success, and are a team I try to learn from," said the Catalan coach about De Zerbi.
