Gundogan willing to reduce demands for Barca

Barcelona are split on whether to get Ilkay Gundogan. The player has got the 'OK' from the managerial staff, but the board, according to 'Sport', aren't as convinced. The high salary that he's asking for, taking into account his age, is what they're not happy about.
However, the one who has no doubts about this, according to 'Mundo Deportivo', is the German himself. So much so that the midfielder is thought to be willing to reduce his demands to be able to go to the Spanish side.
The main reason is that Barca are offering him a contract for the next three years while the Sky Blues' offer is for just one. Gundogan, at 32 years of age, is looking for stability and thinks Barcelona could be the answer.
Having said, according to the source, the offer from the English side would give him more money than the Spanish club. However, the German would be willing to leave his desires to one side in exchange for having a stable future for him and his family.
Signing him is getting more and more key for Barcelona, as he can play in all areas of the pitch. It's something that could even become more important if Xavi's side don't manage to get Martin Zubimendi or Leo Messi.
