Manchester City striker Erling Haaland has faith in himself and made that clear in a statement to 'France Football'.
The Norwegian is one of the favourites alongside Messi to win the Ballon d'Or, the award given by 'France football' magazine to the best player in the world for a season.
Asked if he considers himself the best striker in the world, the former Dortmund striker wanted to be cautious about what he said: "Am I the best attacker? Maybe I am. I know that Enrica (Tarchi, his media relations manager, who was present during the interview) wants me to be careful with my answer," joked the Norway international.
After scoring 53 goals in his debut season for the Sky Blues and helping them achieve a historic treble by winning the club's first ever Champions League, their 9th Premier League title and the FA Cup, Haaland is clear that he has a chance of winning the Ballon d'Or this year.
"I really believe in myself. I know I can still make a lot of progress, I'm still young. But yes, I think I've got a chance this year," concluded the Cityzens cyborg.
