Erling Haaland and Martin Odegaard are compatriots. Both Premier League stars play for the Norwegian national team and fight together for their country's colours despite playing as rivals in the English top flight.
Arsenal saw their dreams of lifting the Premier League trophy last season dashed by Manchester City, who also won the FA Cup and Champions League. The Gunners will fight to win that title this campaign but will have to face Pep Guardiola's men again.
Despite the competitiveness of the domestic contest, Erling Haaland admitted that he and Martin Odegaard are good friends. The 23-year-old also spoke about Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta.
"Odegaard, my good friend. He's amazing and he's been taking so many good steps at Arsenal with [Mikel] Arteta ever since he came there and now he's the captain," he told 'GOAL'.
Norway will face Georgia in the EURO 2024 qualifiers on 12th September. Manager Stale Solbakken will count on his key players to book a ticket to the next round.
