Another great striker like Wayne Rooney has praised the Norwegian striker to the skies in his weekly column in 'The Times'. The former Manchester United striker spoke of his figure and the end of the Cristiano Ronaldo and Leo Messi era.
"Erling Haaland is the best player in the world right now. If you're thinking about who's going to win the Ballon d'Or, it's definitely got to be him," said the England international.
He also referred to football's current situation: "Messi is the best of all time, but at the moment, no one is playing better than Haaland. He's the best in the world because of the numbers he's putting up. The Messi-Ronaldo era is over, now it's the Haaland-Mbappe one".
