Erling Haaland, who scored one on Wednesday against Arsenal, joked about his goal-scoring drought, which had lasted three games, and said that he has now gone "20 minutes without scoring": "I've got to keep working".
Haaland scored his 26th Premier League goal on Wednesday, therefore equaling Sergio Aguero's achievement in the 2014-15 season, which equals him as the club's top scorer for one league campaign.
However, before going to the Emirates, Haaland had gone three games without scoring, which was a streak he broke by scoring the fourth in the game.
"20 minutes have passed since my last goal... so I've got to keep working", the Norwegian joked to 'Prime Video', who showed the game in the UK. "It's very positive, a very happy celebration and I'm really happy with everything. We needed this win and now we've got to continue, because it's what Manchester City has to do".
Thanks to the win, City are Premier League leaders, on the same amount of points as Arsenal, who had not lost at home the whole season before Wednesday. "I think we all agree that Arsenal have been the best side this season, so to come here and play against them isn't easy. We had a great game and we've got three very important points", the Norwegian admitted.
