Manchester City striker Erling Haaland was absent from this Thursday's team training and is in serious doubt for hie side's game against Liverpool this Saturday.
The Norwegian suffered a groin injury in the FA Cup game in which City beat Burnley ten days ago, with Haaland scoring a hattrick. He's also spent a few days in Barcleona undertaking tests to know the gravity of the problem.
Haaland missed Norway's two EURO 2024 qualyfing games against Spain and Georgia, and has not been training with City for the last few day. Him playing a part in this Saturday's game against Liverpool is up in the air.
The striker has scored 42 goals in 37 games this season, which makes it the best of his career. His absence is key for City, who are eight points behind Arsenal (but with a game in hand) and who host Liverpool this Saturday at the Etihad. Only a win will do for the Reds in order to stay in the fight for fourth spot in the Premier League.
