Haaland strikes twice as Man City thrash Burnley in Premier League opener

Manchester City started the 2023/24 season on a high note. Erling Haaland took just over three minutes to score the opening goal of the Premier League season as Manchester City struck early at Burnley. However, it's not all good news for them. Kevin De Bruyne had to be replaced by Mateo Kovacic in the 23rd minute due to injury. Kompany's side tried to counter-attack and created several chances but were unable to turn the tide. Haaland scored the second goal to extend his team's lead and Rodri sealed the victory with a superb shot.
