England captain Harry Kane has been given the green light to play for England in their upcoming Nations Leagues fixtures against Greece on Thursday at Wembley, and away at Finland on Sunday. The striker was a doubt after he was forced off the pitch at the 72nd minute in Bayern's 3-3 draw at Eintracht Frankfurt.
Nevertheless examinations conducted by the England medical staff have denied the injury scare. The annoucement arrived on Monday from Bayern Munich via an official statement confirming that Kane is free stay with the England camp in this international break.
“The examination by the England football team medical staff has shown that Harry Kane does not have a structural injury. The FC Bayern striker, who was substituted in the Bundesliga match at Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday evening, will therefore remain with the England squad for the upcoming internationals," reads the German side's statement.
This is the second injury worry the Englishman has endured recently after he was a doubt to feature against Aston Villa in the Champions League on Wednesday following an ankle issue suffered against Bayer Leverkusen. While the 31-year-old's injury ended up being only a scare, Lee Carsley finds himself without Konsa, Mainoo and Gibbs-White, as the trio sustained injuries during their recent league matches.
