Real Madrid are still on the alert for Karim Benzema's decision on his future as the board will have to look for his replacement in the next transfer window if the Frenchman decides to leave.
Harry Kane is the main contender to replace Madrid's star striker but his transfer would cost 115 million euros. This price tag could leave the Englishman out of the running. Nevertheless, the board have thought about offering Eden Hazard in a swap deal.
But, according to 'AS', the Belgian, who is paid 28 million euros per season, is refusing to leave the Spanish club. The 32-year-old does not want to be 'traded' to another player either.
The former Chelsea footballer has only played 392 minutes this season, the fourth player with the least amount of playing time ahead of Vallejo (88), Odriozola (92) and Mariano Diaz (155). As a result, the striker has cost his team 70,000 euros per minute played.
Carlo Ancelotti does not count on him as when Madrid faced Sevilla without Vinicius Jr, Marco Asensio, Mariano Diaz and Karim Benzema, the Italian decided to start Rodrygo, Fede Valverde and Dani Ceballos.
