Thomas Tuchel had wanted to sign Frenkie de Jong at Chelsea, but never managed to. Now he wants to bring him to his Bayern project and according to 'Bild' he has submitted his petition to the Bavarian club's board.

Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong is under contract in Spain until 2026. He has starred in 43 matches this season, starting 37 and has cemented himself as one of Xavi's non-negotiables ahead of next season.
In Germany however, Thomas Tuchel has other plans for the Dutchman. According to 'Bild', Bayern Munich's coach is willing to offer him a place in his squad if he wants to try out the Bundesliga.
The German had wanted to sign De Jong during his time managing Chelsea. He wanted him then and he still wants him now, and has reportedly asked the Bayern board to try and bring him to Munich.
It would not be a simple task. Bayern have still not gotten over how Lewandowski left Bayern for Barca and they didn't like how the Catalans were flirting so publicly with Kimmich either. In this environment of bitterness, it seems unlikely De Jong would pack his bags for Germany.
For now, according to the German outlet, there have not been talks between the clubs. The midfielder remains on Tuchel's wishlist, and to date, Bayern are yet to make a move.
