Paul Pogba is set to make his return to professional football on March 2025 after his doping suspension was reduced to 18 months by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS). However, everything is pointing towards a comeback which will not see him wear the Juventus shirt.
After initial reports from transfer expert Nicolo Schira claiming that Juventus want to terminate Pogba's contract - which currently expired in June 2026 - the club's sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli spoke on the midfielder ahead of the 'Bianconeri's game against Cagliari on Sunday.
“We will make a decision after the official statement from TAS," said Giuntoli. “He was a great player but he’s been out for long time… let’s wait and see what happens”. The Frenchman's agents are reportedly aware of Juventus' stance, and are actively looking for solutions as MLS and Saudi Arabian teams are showing interest in the 31-year-old, as per Schira.
Giuntoli was also asked updates on Vlahovic's renewal ahead of the Serie A clash. “We are very happy with Dusan Vlahovic and we’re talking to his agents about new deal. We’re really optimistic, also for his future," he said on the Serbian striker.
