Arsenal showed a resilience display at the Etihad. The Gunners, despite being reduced to ten men just before half-time, managed to stave off Manchester City's second-half comeback and salvage a point thanks to some solid defending.
Spanish coach Mikel Arteta had to sacrifice Saka and bring on Ben White, who was doubtful for any playing time because the England full-back was still not fully recovered from injury.
After the draw, Pep Guardiola's former assistant praised White for his commitment to the team and always making himself available when needed. "He will run through a brick wall for you.
"We didn’t want to play him but we had to… I spoke to him, I wanted to protect him. He won’t ever tell you that he’s not fit," concluded the Spanish coach.
