Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham praised teammate Kylian Mbappe, scorer of a hat-trick against Manchester City, by assuring that “he is very special” and he “doesn't stop proving it”.
“He is very special. The world knows it and he doesn't stop proving it. And he's even a better person than he is a player. We are going to benefit from his goals,” he said in statements picked up by ‘Movistar +’. In addition, Bellingham praised the level of his team, after defeating Manchester City 3-1.
“We played at a high level. We were very comfortable from the start. Having the goal advantage made us play very comfortable and we played very well,” he said. On the other hand, he analysed the difficult moment that Manchester City, his opponent this Wednesday in the Champions League, is going through.
“There are times when they are not playing so well, with a lot of injuries... it can happen in football. They may not be at their best level, but we knew we had to be careful,” he commented.
Speaking to 'CBS Sports', the English midfielder stopped further to talk about his teammate Rodrygo. “He's so underrated. For me, he's the most gifted player on the team. The things he does with the ball... I look at him and think, 'How does he do that?' If I did that, I'd sprain my ankle,” laughingly admitted the Briton, who praised his ability to adapt.
“I think he sacrifices the most. We all know that his favourite position is on the left, but he does a lot for the team from the right even though it's not his position. And he never complains,” he concluded.
