Jesus Navas has decided to retire in December 2024. Nobody can convince him otherwise, not even his good performances. This is what he has stressed since the start of the season.

Jesus Navas is months away from hanging up his boots. He was on the verge of doing so in the summer, but finally decided to hold out until December to help the club of his life, Sevilla.
On Wednesday, the player from Los Palacios reiterated that he will retire at the end of 2024. "I can't do it any more, I've decided," he told the 'Canal Sur Radio' microphones.
The reason is a hip problem that has been bothering him for years: "I've had this situation for four years. It's a wear and tear, it's getting worse and worse, more and more continuous, more and more intense".
"It's complicated. When you complete the game, you can't walk for two or three days, it's complicated. For me it was a very important challenge these six months, I wanted to be with the team," he argued.
December is the objective, although he is not sure: "I hope I can make it, because every game is starting to be difficult. My life is football, I know it will be very difficult. I made that decision because it's a physical thing. It's getting complicated little by little and I don't want to be unable to play with my children tomorrow. Every day I'm in that situation, but I'm in a situation where I can't go on any longer," added Navas.
