PSG coach Luis Enrique Martinez on Friday condemned the homophobic chants that have led to the partial closure of one of the stands at the Parc des Princes, but lamented that other clubs are not sanctioned.
"On behalf of the club, and in personal terms, I completely condemn any kind of physical or verbal violence, homophobic acts and all kinds of acts," the Spanish coach told a press conference after the French League's disciplinary commission ordered the partial closure of the Auteil stand for 22 November because of homophobic chants made by fans of that section against Olympique Marseille in a match against Strasbourg on 19 October.
"What I see is that there are only sanctions against PSG. The stand is closed every four days and in other clubs, where you hear the same kind of things, I don't see sanctions," said Luis Enrique.
The disciplinary commission has other cases on the table to look into, namely the homophobic chants during the Marseille-PSG and Angers-Saint-Etienne games last weekend.
