Uruguayan striker Luis Suarez, a former Barcelona, Liverpool, Atletico Madrid and Ajax star, will join Inter Miami for the 2024 season, the MLS club announced on Friday.
"I'm very happy and excited to take on this new challenge with Inter Miami," Suarez said. "I can't wait to get started and I'm ready to work to make the dream of winning more titles with this great club a reality."
The 36-year-old gave his first interview for his current club's press and spoke about how he made the decision to join the MLS club.
"The decision to come is because I have friends and great players. They show it in every game and they are known worldwide. There is the best player in the world, Leo Messi. We have been together for many years and we have achieved many things. We know each other and we don't need much time to get to know each other on the pitch," he said.
