'I didn't say anything wrong': Alvarez responds to Guardiola

Julian Alvarez has been at Manchester City for two seasons and there might not be a third. He is being heavily linked with a move away and clubs such as Atletico Madrid are interested in his services. As he is currently on international duty with the Argentina Olympic team, he has been able to talk about it.
His first statements on the subject came in an interview with 'DSports Radio'. His coach Pep Guardiola read that he had said he had to rethink where he wants to play next season and reacted by inviting him to report back once he has made his mind up.
He also suggested that, as much as it is understandable for him to crave a more prominent role on the pitch, there are other players who feel the same way.
The 24-year-old replied on Tuesday after his country's final group stage match of the Paris tournament: "I didn't say anything bad, so I have nothing to say. I just said I need to think a bit, as I always do after every season, to take stock. I always say I'm happy at Manchester City, it's a great club, so I didn't say anything bad."
