Barcelona managed to leave the Champions League with a win. Xavi's men beat Viktoria Plzen 2-4, in a game where there was little at stake and therefore not much of a sporting contest.
The Czech side's two goals were scored by Thomas Chory who, after the game, claimed to Czech media that that was the game where they were closest to taking points.
The man who got the brace admitted that he went off, after being subbed in the 79th minute, quite annoyed because of the two goals he scored. And that is becuase he had higher sights set in his mind: "I was thinking about the hat-trick, I didn't want to go off and I told the manager". And he got close, as he hit the post in the first half.
"We played at home, we knew we had nothing to lose and that we could hurt Barca. Out of all the games, it was the one where we got closest to getting points", he added.
Finally, Chory, who gave his side credit by saying that "it's not everyday that Barcelona concede two goals", surprised people by saying he was happy that Dembele was a sub. "At least he didn't start here in Plzen, for the love of God!", he said while smiling.
