Neuer still has some football left in him. After retiring from the German national team, one might have thought that the goalkeeper was preparing for a possible full-time retirement, but that will not be the case, at least according to his words.
The German international assured that retiring or leaving Bayern Munich at the end of the season is not in his plans: "I have a good feeling at the moment and I think everyone is very happy with me".
"I don't plan to retire or leave Bayern at the end of the season. I don't start the season thinking it will all be over in June... we'll see," Neuer explained to “Kicker” about his future plans.
"I'm in constant talks with the coach and the sporting management. The question of when questions about the future will be addressed is still a long way off, but the time will come," he said.
Neuer is looking forward to enjoying the start of the season and reclaiming the title he lost to Bayer Leverkusen: "If we have a successful season together, that means I can continue".
