After going on a sudden a controversial trip to Saudi Arabia, Messi">Leo Messi, who was suspended and docked wages by PSG, eventually apologised in a statement and the club lifted the punishment.
There's been a lot of talk over a possible departure from the French giants to go to Saudi Arabia, the country he is a tourism ambassador for. The club who are coming after him is Al Hilal, who are planning on paying him a fortune.
When speaking about this rumour, Marco van Basten advised the Argentine to really think about his decision, without putting the money above everything else. The Dutchman was very clear about that when he spoke to 'Ziggo Sport'.
"In my opinion, I don't understand going to Saudi Arabia to earn a lot of money that he's already earned, that'd seem miserable to me. Messi's got to do what he loves the most, he's got to be his own boss", he claimed.
With all this talk going on, Messi was back in training with PSG on Monday, and he even picked up the Laureus prize for being the best sportman of the year.
