Real Madrid and Spanish national team player Dani Carvajal said that he feels "like an animal" in the process of recovering from the serious knee injury he suffered on 5th October and that he is "trying to recover as soon as possible".
"I feel like an animal. I'm very well, the knee is respecting me and I'm enjoying the process. My recovery is going well, I will be back on my prime like before… zero doubts. You have to take things with joy, enthusiasm and a lot of effort. Every day I try to lift the dumbbell with more energy than the day before, start running as hard as possible... Trying to get back as soon as possible," he said before collecting an award at the gala of the Madrid Sports Press Association (APDM).
Carvajal was awarded for the six titles won in 2024 with Real Madrid (5) and the Spanish national team (1). "2024 was a very successful year, but I didn't do anything different. I always try to give everything and go to bed a better person, a better husband, a better father, a better brother..." he said.
Carvajal suffered cruciate ligament, external collateral ligament and popliteal tendon tears in his right knee in October.
