Isco Alarcon is in the spotlight due to his good performances with Betis. The 31-year-old has found his place at the Andalusian side after a difficult spell with rivals Sevilla.
The Spanish midfielder gave an interview to Andalusian outlet 'Canal Sur' and spoke about his arrival at the Benito Villamarin stadium and his time at Real Madrid.
"I had to leave Real Madrid because I felt it was no longer my place. But leaving the best club in the world is complicated. It's also complicated to make up your mind to leave. These are decisions that you always have to deal with," he said.
"I spent nine years at Real Madrid. The last few years I was more apathetic due to circumstances that I will tell you about one day, but I also had five or six very good years, in which I played with the best in the world and won titles."
Isco also spoke about his arrival at his new club Real Betis and how he has adapted to his new teammates. "My arrival was very easy. I wanted to play and compete. I had financially more important offers, but I have never been guided by that in my career," he concluded.
