Mohamed Salah addressed his future at the Reds after scoring a brace against Southampton. A couple of months ago, he already said that this was going to be his last season at Liverpool, but he has been even more explicit to the point of publicly acknowledging that he was disappointed with the lack of interest.

Mohamed Salah has been scoring or assisting for Liverpool for four games in a row. He is credited with leading the Reds in the Premier League and also the Champions League, so it is striking that the board have not approached him about extending his contract. His deal expires this season and, after beating Southampton with a brace, he complained about the lack of communication from the Reds board.
"Well, it's nearly December and they haven't made me an offer to stay, so I'm probably more out than in. You know, I've been at the club for many years and there's nowhere like this, but, in the end, it's not up to me, so, like I said, it's December and I haven't seen anything about my future yet,’ he told “NBC Sports Soccer”, which published his words on Monday morning.
"I love the fans and they love me, but it's not in their hands either. Have I said to the club that I want them to make me an offer? Well, I'm not going to go out there and say.... I have no intention of retiring any time soon, so I'm just focused on this season, on winning the Premier League and, if everything goes well, the Champions League, but yes, disappointed.... We'll see," continued the Egyptian star.
Salah has 12 goals and 10 assists in 18 games this season. He has been a key part of Arne Slot's new Liverpool, which has not only maintained the performances of the Jurgen Klopp era, but improved on them. Later this week, there will be plenty of spotlight on the winger in Spain as the Reds face Real Madrid in the second leg of the league phase of UEFA's top flight competition.
