Leo Messi's future will change in barely a month. That's how much time is left until the end of the season in France, where he is playing for Paris Saint-Germain.
With an offer from Al Hilal on the table, the deal denied by Jorge Messi, and Barcelona struggling to sign him, what seems certain is that he will leave the Parc des Princes.
Pep Guardiola, his former coach at Barcelona and current Manchester City manager, dreams of seeing the Argentinian back in a Barcelona shirt and that he retires as a 'Cule'.
"I hope that one day we can say goodbye to him as he deserves, because he is the best player of all time," the Sky Blues boss said on 'ESPN' about Messi's future.
"I am a member of Barcelona, I have 2 places. I just hope we can see him off as he deserves from those places. He has been the greatest of all time. When we were at Barcelona, it was a turning point. We won a lot, and it wouldn't have been possible without him. I'm not talking about numbers, but about impact on the game, beauty, aesthetics, effectiveness... everything," Guardiola added.
The Spanish coach did not expect Messi's early departure from Barcelona: "Nobody would have thought it would have ended like that. Messi has helped make the club much bigger than it was. That's why, when a person makes a club so big, you have to send people off well.
