"Nothing mattered more to me than Madrid. To be honest, I wondered myself if I would get the chance to play for them. I just wanted to know if they were interested in me," he began.
"It's an honour to be able to fulfil my father's dream, my life's dream and my family's dream. I am looking forward to playing for the biggest club in Europe and the team of my idol Cristiano Ronaldo."
The Palmeiras star also spoke about his friendship with Vinicius Jr: "He is my friend, I was able to spend my holidays with him. We saw each other and talked. He told me a lot of things about Real Madrid and he told me that I will be fine.
"He has become my idol for playing there. His words gave me even more strength to join Madrid. It's a great team. My name wasn't going to be Endrick, it was going to be Di Stefano. I saw it as a challenge for me to try to play for Madrid. That's why I chose them," he concluded.
