The tension between Manchester City and Arsenal has only increased since the last meeting between the two ended in a fiercely contentious draw, with several interesting quotes from players and managers alike.
From Bernardo Silva comparing Arsenal to Liverpool, Sky Blues players talking about "dark arts" and Magalhaes calling their rivalry with the Cityzens a ‘war’ to a possible war of words between Arteta and Guardiola that looks like it will not happen.
The Gunners boss recently said he knew ‘stuff’ about Manchester City, something many in the press took as a nod to the 115 charges the Mancunians face. When Pep Guardiola was asked about it, he said he hoped Arteta did not mean it that way and asked him to be clearer with his answer next time, something his former assistant has certainly done.
The Spanish coach, after the late win over Leicester, made it clear that his comments were not malicious in any way and that he considers Pep Guardiola a friend. "When I say I know stuff about Man City, I meant I know how hard they work. This is what I mean.
"I can repeat it very clear, I admire Pep. I love Pep. I respect him so fondly for everything he does for me. I consider him a friend," he added on the matter.
