Manchester United had the chance to sign Erling Haaland. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, then manager of Molde, told 'The Sun' that he offered the striker to his ex-side before he took the reigns of the Red Devils in December 2018.
"I called United about six months before taking the job, but they didn't listen to me. I asked for €4.5 million for Haaland and they didn't sign him", he said regretfully.
Solskjaer regretted the fact that City are now enjoying his services. "I had at Molde this talented striker that United should have had", he said.
Haaland went from Molde in Norway to Salzburg. From there, he made the jump to Borussia Dortmund until Pep Guardiola knocked on his door and the player went for to the Citizens.
