Brighton had a huge game on Wednesday and managed to secure themselves a place in the Europa League next season. Jan Paul Hecke was the one tasked with marking the fearsome Haaland and he didn't come out of it that much worse for wear. The defender himself thought he'd had a fairly good 90 minutes.

Champions hangover for Man City, who couldn't do better than a draw against a fired-up Brighton, which guaranteed their presence in the Europa League ahead of next season.
One of the things that worked out for De Zerbi's side was the marking of Erling Haaland. The young Jan Paul Hecke was the one in charge of it and miraculously, he did it well.
The Dutchman spoke at the end of the clash and gave his impressions of it: "I really enjoyed marking Haaland. He's a top player. I was waiting and watching him every second. But I enjoyed it so much, the game could have gone on for longer".
Hecke is not very well known, in fact, he's only played 548 minutes for the team. However, the Dutch centreback left his mark on the epic match.
