Jose Mourinho put an end in his own way to the war of words with Mauro Icardi. After the Galatasaray striker called him 'The Crying One', the Fenerbahçe coach used irony to say that he does not answer to ‘goats’.

Pep Guardiola said that Jose Mourinho was “the f*cking master, the f*cking boss” in the press room. It's no lie that the Portuguese handles himself like very few others in front of the microphones, so entering into awar of words against him doesn't usually go well. We have seen all kinds of them in Spain, in England, in Italy... and it could not be less in Turkey.
At the beginning of February, Galatasaray, Fenerbahçe's direct rivals for the title, won controversially against Gaziantep after a penalty for Davinson Sanchez's handball that was not punished. On his Instagram profile, the Portuguese coach spoke out about the matter with a screenshot of the infraction and this text: “In the handball World Cup that ended last Sunday, my Portugal brilliantly reached the semifinals and I want to congratulate them for such an achievement and for the impact they will have on the youth of our country”.
The 'Cim Bom' striker Mauro Icardi is out until the end of the season with a knee injury. Even so, the Argentine remains committed to his team. Again through networks, the striker dedicated several stories to Mourinho in which he responded with images of controversies from the last derby where Galatasaray defeated Fenerbahce 3-1.
In one of the stories, Icardi uploaded a montage of a biography of Jose Mourinho with the title 'The Crying One', and which refers to the famous nickname that the coach himself gave himself on his arrival at Chelsea. The issue, far from staying there, was brought up on Wednesday at the press conference ahead of Thursday's Europa League match between Fenerbahçe and Anderlecht.
Asked by the media, Jose Mourinho once again pulled out his fine (or not so fine) irony to respond to Mauro Icardi. “I have shown that I am a 'special one', not 'The Special One'. I have proven this with 25 years of career and 26 titles, not with one match. One match does not define my career, my career is a 25-year career,” he began.
He then hit out at the Argentine: “Regarding Icardi's comments and ‘posts’.... Icardi is a goat and I refuse to comment on a goat's words. It's too big, I don't comment.” In English, Mourinho said “goat” in reference to the acronym “GOAT”, with which the 'Greatest Of All Time' are usually defined. That is, the best in the world. The double meaning was in the translation of the goat... and its horns. A low blow after the news of Wanda Nara's infidelities to Mauro Icardi.
