PSG coach Christophe Galtier said he sees Leo Messi "happy" at the French club, with whom he has a contract until 30th June, and clarified that we will have to wait and see what the Argentine player "thinks" of the club's new project.
"Leo seems happy to me in Paris, but then we have to see what he thinks of the PSG project, from the club's side there is the desire to extend. This is a part that I don't discuss with the player, this is a subject that Luis Campos (sporting director) and the president Nasser Al-Khelaifi talk about directly with him," said Galtier.
Although the coach did not confirm it, Messi is expected to return for PSG against Angers, 24 days after winning the World Cup in the final against France.
At the press conference ahead of the league clash against bottom club Angers, the coach also addressed Kylian Mbappe's criticism of French Football Federation (FFF) president Noel Le Graet for comments he made about Zinedine Zidane.
"This is a subject that comes out of the PSG context, he has spoken from his heart, in his own way, those words belong to him, although I am not surprised that he defends Zinedine, I know that Kylian has enormous respect for Zinedine Zidane," said Galtier.
