"I want Argentina to win because I am Latin American... but also because of Messi"

Barca Atletic coach Rafa Marquez spoke about the World Cup final between Argentina and France and expressed his support for Messi to win football's biggest title.
"It's a great final and I want Argentina to win because I'm Latin American, but also because of Leo Messi," he said on his former Barcelona teammate.
Marquez recognised that "football is not about merit, but Messi has fought, worked and maintained the level of being the best for a long time".
"I am very fond of him. Even if he doesn't win the World Cup, he's the best in the world, but I hope he wins it, I'll be very happy for him," the coach concluded.
