Real Madrid's Brazilian striker Endrick celebrated his debut in the Champions League with a historic goal without giving importance to his record and with the desire to "help" the club for the rest of his life.
"I'm very happy for my debut and to score the first goal of my life in the Champions League, but above all I'm very happy to help Real Madrid, which is what I want," he told the club's media.
"I didn't know I was the youngest ever to score. I was on my debut in La Liga and I was now in the Champions League as well... but that doesn't matter, just to help Real Madrid, as I want to do all my life," he added.
Endrick joked about the action of his goal for not passing the ball to Mbappe and Vinicius, who were unmarked. "On the first move, I passed it. In the second, I saw that Kylian and Vini were there but I thought the best option was to shoot and it was a goal.
"When I was warming up, Rudiger told me if I was ready to score and that's what happens in my head. The whole team is very happy with the victory, all together, it's a joy to be in this group," he admitted.
Lastly, he paid tribute to Thibaut Courtois, who played a key role with his saves. "When he saves a one-on-one, it's incredible. He's going to be in my team in FIFA, for sure," he joked.
