Pau Victor, the star of Barcelona's 2-1 win over Real Madrid on Saturday, said he will never forget a magnificent night in which he scored twice against Real Madrid.
"I'm very proud. I think it's a moment I'll remember all my life. Now, I'm going to enjoy it with my family, with my friends and reply to all the messages, which I've got a lot of...", he joked in the mixed zone.
"A year ago, who would have thought that these things would happen to me? But well, I'm making the most of my opportunities, I'm working to be better as a footballer and as a person", he added.
Pau Victor, who had already scored a goal against Manchester City this week, scored both Barcelona's goals in the win over Madrid in a friendly in the New York metropolitan area that was suspended for more than an hour because of a storm. Nico Paz scored Madrid's goal.
"I think that the two goals are the work of the whole team and to enjoy the game that we are playing, which I think is very good," commented the striker, who was voted player of the match for the second game in a row.
Furthermore, Pau Victor commented on his preferred position, saying that he is at the disposal of whatever coach Hansi Flick decides.
"I think I have the possibility that I can play in all three positions up front and I feel quite comfortable in all three. I'm available to the coach for whatever he needs me for. I try to contribute as much as possible and give my all wherever I can," he concluded.
