"I won't change the formation because of Vinicius' injury"
Carlo Ancelotti said that, against Getafe, his style of play will be the same as the one he has been using. He made it clear that, despite Vinicius' injury, Real Madrid's diamond formation will not be changed.

Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti revealed at a press conference that he will not change this season's 4-4-2 diamond formation, despite a muscle injury to Brazilian Vinicius Junior that will keep him sidelined for six weeks.
"Without Vinicius we lose a player who has been very decisive for us in the game. We won't change the formation because of this. We will replace him with a player with different characteristics to him and that is why we will try to change the attacking rhythm," he said.
Ancelotti did not want to reveal whether it will be Joselu Mato, a more pure No. 9', or Brahim Diaz who will take Vinicius' place. "We can replace him with Joselu, with Brahim... An inside player can also play. We don't have one like Vinicius. He won't change the formation. If Joselu plays we can use more crosses and if Brahim plays, more play between the lines," he commented.
He also praised Brazilian Rodrygo Goes, who remains Real Madrid's great offensive reference. "He has the unusual quality of being able to change a lot of things. Playing on the left he can be more clinical. He is a very complete striker, as there are very few on the market", he pondered.
On the other hand, he was "very happy" to return to play at the Santiago Bernabeu 90 days later, where one of the big attractions will be England's Jude Bellingham, signed by Real Madrid this summer. "He and the fans will be delighted to see him live at the stadium. He has a very strong personality and will be happy to be playing at home," he said.
