Maximilian Ibrahimovic, the eldest son of ex-footballer Zlatan Ibrahimovic, was called up to Sweden's youth teams for the first time on Tuesday.
The young striker has been included in Sweden's Under-18 squad for two friendlies against Japan and one against the United States next week.
"I've been following him for a year now. He started playing more and more with Milan's U18 team. Then he has progressed and done well," Sweden U18 coach Andreas Pettersson told the Expressen newspaper.
Maximilian Ibrahimovic is currently playing for Milan's U20 team, for whom he has scored four goals in six games.
Petterson praised the ability of the son of what is considered to be the greatest player in Swedish football history, who is now an advisor to Milan after retiring a year ago, to get into scoring areas and take his chances.
The Swedish U18 squad also includes John Mellberg, son of former senior national team captain Olof Mellberg, who played for Racing Santander, Aston Villa and Villarreal among other clubs.
