Cristiano Ronaldo's legacy is unquestionable. The Portuguese is one of the best footballers on this planet and a born scorer. At 40 years old, 'El Bicho' continues to prove that he still has plenty of energy and continues to demonstrate his great level. On the occasion of his birthday, the Portuguese gave an interview to 'Telefoot' in which he reviewed several topics of his current affairs.
“It wouldn't be fair of me to say that I'm missing a World Cup title to say that I've been successful in my career. When the next World Cup comes around, if I am still physically and mentally fit and, if the national team needs my services, I will be available for it,” he said in reference to his participation in next year's World Cup.
Another topic touched on was his retirement date, something he did not want to put an exact date on: “I would like to play with my 14-year-old son, but we'll see, it depends more on me than on him”.
Cristiano also touched on the subject of his retirement in a talk with 'Canal 11' in previous days: “I like to play, I know there will be an end. In one, two or three years, I don't know. I don't care. Passion is still the most important thing. Before a game I always have a knot in my stomach, I always have that adrenaline that rises and makes me sweat. I still feel that and it's that passion that still drives me to play.”
