"If Haaland could have joined Madrid? I can't talk about that..."
Erling Haaland's agent Rafaela Pimenta spoke to 'AS'. She spoke about the Manchester City player, as well as how he is doing in the position previously held by Mino Raiola. She declined to say whether he was close to signing for Real Madrid when he left Borussia Dortmund.

Erling Haaland swapped the Bundesliga for the Premier League last summer and he couldn't be doing better. He has scored 31 goals in 22 games played for Manchester City. A real madness only suitable for top players of his stature.
His agent, Rafaela Pimenta, spoke to AS about the Norwegian's past, present and future. She made it clear that Raiola, before he died, had not closed his departure to City: "He stopped working in December 2021, when he knew what was going to happen".
Haaland's agent did not want to go into whether or not Madrid were able to sign him before the English club did. "I can't talk about this, I'm a lawyer," she said.
Asked about the alleged exit clause that Haaland would have to leave City after 2024, Rafaela Pimenta said: "It's difficult to answer. If I don't say anything, it will be misinterpreted. If I say something, it will also be questioned. I prefer not to say anything. Mystery is always interesting, it's sexy, isn't it?
The agent explained that, when negotiating the contracts of the players she represents, she emphasises that the players have the power to decide. "I do everything to create the conditions so that the key to the door is in their hands. And if one day you can't stand being there any more because you don't like it, they don't pay you well or because your wife wants to live in Paris? Then you leave, don't you? I don't like it when my player is not free.
As for whether Haaland will play in Spain in the future, he said he is very happy at City right now. "It's not positive to play one season thinking about next season. Right now, he's comitted to City, if it's difficult for him to have the key to the door? As a lawyer, I have to leave the possibility ready so that if he needs that weapon, he can have it," he said.
