Nasser Al-Khelaifi gave Kylian Mbappe his final ultimatum. The PSG owner said after the presentation of Luis Enrique that, if the '7' "does not want to renew in two weeks", "the door is open".
This is what the Qatari sheikh told 'Le Parisien': "He has to decide next week or, at the most, in two weeks. And if he doesn't want to sign a new contract, the door is open. It's like that for him and for everyone else. Nobody is bigger than the club, no player, nor me. It's very clear.
Nasser Al-Khelaifi cited "disappointment" with Kylian Mbappe should he change his mind: "We want him to stay, but he cannot leave for free. It was our verbal agreement and he had expressed it publicly in an interview. So it's not debatable. And I was very surprised to hear that he intended to leave for free. It's very disappointing because Kylian is a fantastic guy, a real gentleman, and he's leaving for free, weakening the biggest French club, it's not him."
PSG are set to spend 200 million euros to strengthen their squad and the owner's plan is to keep Kylian Mbappe in the squad. In the meantime, Real Madrid are keeping an eye on the latest developments in this never-ending transfer saga.
