"If Mbappe wants to stay, we want him to stay"

Kylian Mbappe gave a press conference from the French national team training camp and cleared up rumours about his possible departure from Paris Saint-Germain: "I have said that my objective is to continue at the club, my only option is to stay at PSG".
On Thursday, Marquinhos, the French captain's team-mate at the Parisian club, spoke to the media ahead of the match between Brazil and Guinea and, unsurprisingly, was asked about the French star's future.
"If Mbappe wants to stay, we also want him to stay. He's a genius, pure talent, a leader at PSG," said the Canarinha centre-back in no uncertain terms.
"Every summer the media talk a lot about him, but he is still a PSG player and he wants to stay. We'll see what happens. We players want him to stay because we all have big ambitions," added the Brazil international.
