"If Messi returns to La Liga, he will be welcomed with open arms"
Spanish FA president Luis Rubiales spoke about Messi's possible return to Camp Nou. As a football lover, he commented, he would love to enjoy his football in La Liga again, but said that this is "a matter for him or Barca", if they are negotiating for him, as he made it clear that he does not know.

Real Federacion Espanola de Futbol (RFEF) president Luis Rubiales assessed the option of a possible return of Leo Messi to Barca and commented that "if he returns to La Liga, he will be welcomed with open arms".
The president of the Spanish federation recalled that he played against Leo Messi in 2006 when he was playing for Levante and the Argentine was 19 years old. "I was lucky enough to play against Leo Messi, but I don't know if it was good or bad luck because I had to mark him and he is an unrepeatable player, spectacular, fantastic... I don't get involved in his possible return either", he stressed.
Rubiales made these statements on Saturday during an institutional visit to the Principality where he met with the president of the Andorran Football Federation (FAF).
"In the end, all Spaniards and also Spanish football fans outside the country want the best players to be in our league. That's just a matter of them or also of Barca, who are negotiating... or not, because we don't know," he concluded.
