Sevilla won their seventh Europa League title at the Puskas Arena after a 4-2 penalty shoot-out victory over Jose Mourinho's Roma. However, not for everyone it was a victory for the Spanish side.
Jose Mourinho thinks Sevilla did not deserve to win the Europa League title in the 2022/23 season and he goes on to say that it was the Serie A side who won the final in Budapest.
"It is a different season to the last, a different competition. I will also continue to say until the bitter end that we did not lose that Final in Budapest. Every time people talk to me about it, I will tell them that we did not lose," he told reporters.
It is worth mentioning that UEFA began disciplinary proceedings against AS Roma coach Jose Mourinho for using insulting and abusive language against the referee in the Europa League final against Sevilla.
