Leo Messi is days away from starting his new journey at Inter Miami. The footballer gave an interview to 'Television Publica', where he recalled Argentina's World Cup in Qatar.
"I am happy with the decision I made. I'm ready and looking forward to the new challenge, the new change. My mentality and my head are not going to change and I'm going to try to be where I am now. I'm going to do my best for myself and for my new club and try to perform at the highest level," said the '10'.
Leo Messi also looked back at the Qatar World Cup: "It's a very united group, very strong in the face of adversity and we responded with greatness. We had gone 35 games without losing and we didn't know how we were going to react after starting with a loss.
The new MLS star surrendered to the Argentina national team's strength: "There were a lot of guys for whom it was their first World Cup. I used to say that the first game was the hardest. This group showed that they didn't care about anything, that they were very strong, but they had to prove it and they showed it against Arabia.
Finally, Leo Messi confessed that he had a thorn in his side with the third star on the 'Albiceleste' crest: "In Argentina I went through difficult times and was criticised a lot. I saw that there was a generation of kids who defended me to the death and fought to do it. That's beautiful for me. I thank them for all that affection and that fight. It was a great satisfaction for them too.
