He was seen for the sentencing. After years of analising and studying different evidence for the Neymar case, the last session took place. Both ex-Barcelona presidents Rosell and Josep Maria Bartomeu made the most of their closing statement.
The first one of them said in front of the court room that he "is very proud to have been the Barcelona president". However, Bartomeu claimed that everything that happened in this case was due to "an argument before the Supreme Court put forward by a pharmacist who was a Barcelona member".
What is more, Sergi Atienza, current Club Compliance Officer, said that it generated "economic, energetic and reputational wear and tear". He added that he understands that the Catalan side was wrongly accused".
"We welcome the tax minister's decision to withdraw the charges, but not that of the private prosecution's", Sergi Atienza argued about the speculation that Neymar played to miss the Club World Cup. The trial's last session ended with Neymar's family not using their closing speech.
