Manchester United full-back Diogo Dalot has spoken highly of Ruben Amorim, who recently took over as the club's head coach. Speaking after his side's 1-1 draw with Ipswich in the Premier League, Dalot emphasised the positive impact the Portuguese manager has already had on the squad.
"It's gone well. He made an impact straight away, in terms of his philosophy and the way he wants us to play. It suits the standards of the club. High-intensity football and working hard for the team. We just need to put it into practice now," he said.
"He's really demanding. He's exactly what we need for this type of club. That's the standard the club should have, demanding people are professional and work hard for the team. That's the clear message that he gives us every day," the Portuguese added.
United's performance against Ipswich left some fans frustrated, with the team failing to capitalise on several chances. However, Dalot insists the foundations are being laid for long-term success.
"His messaging was really clear. Like I said, we have to give credit to him and his staff for all the information they gave us. It was really clearer for us and obviously, now we will take some more training sessions and games to put this into practice," the 25-year-old concluded.
